“Coach Jaz” Orozco

Coach Jaz grew up playing sand volleyball on the beaches of California and went on to play Division I indoor AND beach volleyball at Pepperdine University, where she competed at the highest level of the game and was part of the Waves’ National Championship runner-up team in 2013. After college, she continued to pursue her passion for volleyball through coaching, drawing on years of elite training and competition experience to mentor the next generation of athletes.

“My love for volleyball has always been about more than just competition. It’s about learning to love yourself, trust your team, and embrace the process of growth. I want to help players discover their confidence and joy in the game while developing the technical skills that will set them apart.”

As the founder and director of Flow STG, Coach Jaz brings not only high-level playing and coaching experience but also a unique commitment to developing both the athlete and the person. She combines her background in beach volleyball, Pilates, and mobility training to create programs that focus on strength, agility, and injury prevention—helping athletes build longevity in the sport.

Coach Jaz leads with passion, vision, and a deep belief in the potential of every athlete. Her mission is to provide opportunities, mentorship, and a supportive community that allows young players to find their flow—on the court, in the sand, and in life.

“Coach Sam” Christensen

Coach Sam played college volleyball at Southern Virginia University. Following college her love for the outdoors made the transition to grass and beach volleyball a natural fit. As an adult athlete, she has continued to train and compete in beach volleyball at the highest level in Utah and has traveled to California to play in numerous tournaments against top competition. Most recently, she was invited to represent Team Salt Lake at the Cities Tournament in Austin, Texas, where she and her team earned a 3rd place finish.

“My love for volleyball began when my parents sent me with my older sisters to their club volleyball practices. Pretty soon they had me on a u12 team and I have been playing ever since! I love the focus required and intensity of the game.

I wish I had started playing beach volleyball in high school. I want to help the next generation of players become more well rounded and have more opportunities to play. My priority is my family, but I love spending my spare time in the sand and the sun!”

Coach Sam brings competitive drive, commitment to developing the next generation of volleyball athletes, and a deep love for the game to athletes in our Lite, Next, and Intermediate programs. We are so lucky to have her!
